Metamathematics & Metaphysics
Metamathematics is the study of the elementary
ideas used in mathematical logic. Kurt Godel,
Bertrand Russell and David Hilbert were meta mathematicians. Bertrand
wrote, "Mathematics is
that subject in which we do not know what we are talking about, nor
whether what we say is
true." Godel proved mathematically
that any mathematical theorem that is 'true' is unprovable no
matter how complete the proof may be. Metamathematics is akin to
metaphysics - the study of
science's foundational ideas. Mathematical theories in a structured
system of physics are also
unprovable, no matter how complete the proof.
Metamathematics and metaphysics are
intertwined. Take Aristotle's law of logic, A = A. Logic
may seem self-evident, but it fails if the properties of matter are
always emerging. Every 'A'
would continue to be an A, yet ancient 'As' (atoms) would be unlike
modern ones. If the
properties of matter are emerging relationally, the rules of
mathematical logic and measuring
would work locally at any particular moment. However, logical
implications, measurements and
physics laws would fail when applied to the distant past.
The Bible strikes at the basis for
both mathematics and physics by predicting that in the last days
false teachers will come. The false teachers will obfuscate
earth-history and the history the starry
heavens with the idea that all things remain the same (2 Peter
3:3 - 6).What if the Bible is right, that the whole
creation is phthora, internally changing ? What if matter changes in an
orderly together manner (Romans 8:20 - 22)?
What if all atoms change relationally as they age?
What would such a universe look like?
1. We would see with our eyes
that the light from all ancient suns is different from the light from
modern, local suns. If atoms change relationally, in an orderly manner,
the frequencies from
ancient atoms would be tiny ratios of those from local atoms. This is
indeed what we observe.
2. We could follow how the
galaxies changed their shapes throughout cosmic history. Indeed we
see that ancient galaxies were naked and densely packed with stars. In
billions of examples at
many ranges, we see how the galaxies grew into huge growth spirals as
the stars and gas
accelerated outwards. Our universe visibly fits non structured, non
mathematical biblical physics.
3. We could see that the
primordial earth was minuscule, as the words of the Bible imply. Indeed
we find a global expansion seam continually forming new Earth crust.
Two thirds of the Earth's
crust, under the oceans, is newer than the continents. The continents
only fit together on a tiny
globe. The soft, layered, undisturbed sediments in the ocean trenches
clearly show that scientists
obfuscate by inventing magical, undetectable subduction.
4. We can see with our eyes
that the properties of matter are always changing throughout cosmic
history. Matter keeps on taking up more space, its quantum frequencies
keep on increasing and
its inertial properties keep on changing - relationally. Biblical
physics explains the visible
universe simply, without mathematics. By contrast, mathematical stories
about beginnings
violate the genealogies and earth-histories of our early ancestors. The
scientific universe is 99%
invisible, filled with magical matter and undetectable vacuous
processes. All of them were
invented to protect their metaphysical assumption that atoms do
perpetual motion.
Why would God make a universe where atoms continually change? So no one
can find Him with
wisdom. Yet if you believe His
promise to save sinners who trust in Christ's atoning sacrifice,
you will find Him. Examine the metaphysical foundation for mathematics
and physics.
